Using the right fabric is important. For the fabric that faces the exterior, we use a black 420D UV Resistant Polyester that is strong and helps "blacking out" at night time for stealth camping and keeping privacy inside. For the interior we use a 420D Diamond ripstop Polyester Olive/gray that is nice to look at and matches most interiors and colors of vans. Polyester is much more UV resistant than Nylon, does not sag when hot or easily color fades. Basically it will last much longer when being put in the sun all day.

We don't offer custom colors/styles so it helps optimizing our manufacturing process and keeps our prices low and in stock for fast shipment.

All of our products are made with 5.0mm double faced aluminum cross linked PE foam insulation which reflects up to 95% of radiant heat. Our foam is non toxic, mold and mildew resistant, quieter, way more durable than other insulated materials and used in high end automotive companies.

Our insulation foam exceeds performance over Low-E products as Low-E is just a branded polyethylene foam core with thin aluminum facing. In a durability test, Low-E facing breaks down easily loosing important Radiant heat performance.

Our Aluminium radiant foil face material after durability cycle test. No performance loss.

Low-E radiant foil face material after durability cycle test. Lost performance.

All our magnets are Neodymium N52 rated for maximum holding power. These help to keep everything in place, even in your bumpy off road conditions.

Van Storage:

Every product we make comes with its own storage sack as these little things make a huge difference when you are living out of your van and trying to keep things clean and tidy.

As the summer months heat up, you’re probably looking for ways to beat the heat. As vans have many large windows, it’s logical that the sun pouring in heats up the interior space faster. While a van is parked outside on a hot summer day it will inevitably have a hot interior but having window covers installed with the roof vent open can lower the temp by more than 20f inside which makes a big difference.

  • Make sure you vent your van on hot days. It can really make a difference.

  • Don't expect window covers to function like Air Conditioning, they are two very different things.

  • Window covers are only part of a cooling/heating system. The rest of your van needs to be insulated to support keeping the heat/cold in/out of your van.

Blocking and reflecting the sun helps lower the buildup of heat inside your car. This makes it easier to "breathe" when you first enter the vehicle. Blocking direct sunlight also prevents you from burning yourself when you touch the seatbelt, steering wheel and other things. The sun can also do a lot of damage to your vans interior. Dashboards and seats can fade as the sun saps the color out of them. They could even crack and warp if extreme temperatures are experienced. An investment in a window cover can help your vans interior stay looking like new for years to come. Van stereos can also be damaged by direct sunlight and excessive heat. Touch screens in newer vans are particularly vulnerable when they sit parked outside in the sun all day for months on end. A window cover blocks direct sunlight and helps prolong the life of vehicle electronics.
